Ute’s Story

Born in Germany in 1981, Ute has always been deeply curious about the truth, the human experience, nature, the universe, and the unseen realms. During her teenage years, as she navigated her parents’ separation, she found solace in close friendships and began exploring psychedelics, seeking deeper connections and insights into life’s mysteries. This early curiosity laid the foundation for her lifelong exploration of healing, consciousness, and transformation.

Meaningful Work

Ute’s desire to “help” and “do good” led her to study pedagogy, specializing in supporting children and teenagers with mental, social, and emotional challenges. She worked for five years in a psychiatric hospital in Germany, guiding youth and their families through difficult times. Her passion for meaningful service continued as she became a teacher for mentally disabled children and later worked in therapeutic youth housing, helping young adults reintegrate into life after psychiatric care.

Called by the Plants

As a young adult, Ute’s adventurous spirit drew her to travel the world, seeking new perspectives and experiences. In January 2015, her intuition led her to the Amazon Jungle in Peru, where she volunteered at an Ayahuasca center, working alongside Shipibo healers. This experience marked the beginning of her profound connection to plant medicine and indigenous wisdom. Captivated by the Shipibo tradition, she committed herself fully to this path, participating in hundreds of ceremonies and deepening her practice through Master Plant Dietas—month-long periods of isolation and communion with specific plants guided by Shipibo maestros from the Mahua lineage.

A Bridge

In 2018, Ute founded True-Journey, co-creating Ayahuasca and Masterplant Sama retreats in collaboration with her Shipibo maestros. Her mission is to bridge the wisdom of sacred plants with modern psychological insight, guiding others on their path of self-discovery and healing. She views her role as a bridge between the Western mind and the “rao nete” (medicine world), combining shamanic teachings with a grounded, trauma-informed framework.

In addition to her apprenticeship with the Shipibo healers, Ute has pursued extensive training in psychospiritual and somatic approaches. She is a certified Transformational Recovery and Integration Coach (BeingTrueToYou.com) and completed the Compassionate Inquiry training with Dr. Gabor Maté in 2021. She has studied Interpersonal Neurobiology with Dr. Daniel Siegel and completed an Ancestral Healing course with Thomas Hübl in 2022. Ute regularly engages in Internal Family Systems (IFS) training and has a deep passion for somatic healing practices. She is also a student of the Diamond Approach since 2020, continuously expanding her knowledge and practice.

Exploring Subtle Energies

Before moving to Peru, Ute explored energy healing modalities, completing three courses in Theta Healing, receiving Reiki initiation, and studying Jin Shin Jyutsu, a Japanese healing art. As an Energy Awareness Guide, she loves to explore the layers of subtle energies with others, empowering them to create more consciously, cultivate self-leadership, and live in greater alignment.

This approach integrates the wisdom of the body and sensation, creating space to feel within the body deeply. This process can open up a whole new universe of understanding and clarity about who you are. Offering psycho-spiritual inquiry with curiosity and openness can lead to a significant expansion of awareness.
Life becomes richer, more accessible, and as awareness deepens, aligned leadership naturally comes to life. In our sessions, I invite you to create space for the various intelligences we are connected to, enabling us to heal trauma, recognize and transform limiting patterns, allow you to expand and grow, let go of what es ready to release, and consciously create the path for who you choose to become.
Since then, Ute has dedicated herself to this path, not only as a devoted apprentice within a respected Shipibo healer lineage, but also as a skilled practitioner trained in Western therapeutic approaches. Her expertise now centers on helping individuals prepare for and integrate their ceremonies and Plant Diet (Sama) experiences, ensuring they are supported throughout the entire process. Since 2018, Ute has worked full-time in this field, offering her services as a freelancer to various organizations, with a focus on blending the experience with the Masterplants of the Shipibo people with modern therapeutic practices to guide others on their own transformative journeys.

Ute’s journey with psychedelics began in her teenage years, where she freely explored both natural plant medicines and lab-created substances. These experiences were a central part of her life, allowing her to feel liberated, exploring connections, enjoying life and sometimes the unseen. She always was interested in a journey of deeper understanding. However, everything shifted when she arrived in the Peruvian Jungle at the age of 33, where she encountered the profound wisdom of the Shipibo Medicine, guided by trained Healers of that tradition. It was here that Ute made a conscious decision to step away from her previous practices and fully immerse herself in the path of learning with her Shipibo Maestros.
